Archangel Committee

On behalf of the entire Archangel Committee, we thank you for all that you contributed to our recent exchange with our Sister City in the Soviet Union. The 45-member delegation from Archangel represented the first major people-to-people exchange here in Greater Portland.  Our goal for their six-day stay was to give them a taste of daily life here in Maine - living with local families in their homes, meeting people in work or special interest-related settings, experiencing some of our cultural life, socializing, seeing some of our tourist sights, etc. Your participation helped us to achieve that goal. Again, thank you for your interest, your time and your contributions.

Many thanks to you and the musicians who played at our wedding. we didn't have enough of a chance to thank them sufficiently in person, but the music helped to create exactly the kind of atmosphere we were hoping for. A number of our guests were musicians themselves (including two violinists), and they went out of their way to tell us what a magnificent job the trio had done. It was a pleasure working with all of you.

Just a note to say it again, in writing, what a superb part of Lucy Roger's and Larry Grant's wedding you were in Kennebunkport. You much more than met our expectations in the range of music and quality of your playing throughout the evening, and in your ability to adapt to the demands of playing both indoors and out. Thank you for being available to us, and for giving so much of yourselves to this important event.

I'm grateful to Ed Morin for having led us to you, and I look forward to hearing you play again, somewhere, sometime, and in such blessed circumstances. Thank you again for helping to make it so.

While this note is long over due, I hope it can still convey the thanks and appreciation for your efforts during our Labor Day wedding celebration. I called last minute for ceremony music, and through your hard work (and a little luck), you were able to secure two wonderful musicians for our big day. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to thank them personally, but I hope you will pass along  our thanks - they were perfect. The music fit beautifully, and we couldn't have done it without your help. Again, a huge thank you for your time and delivering what you promised. What a wonderful day. Thanks to you!
